WELCOME TO THE 15th ANNUAL RUN 4 THE PIES
Countdown for the 15th Run 4 the Pies starts now! Below is some valuable information that all registered runners should be aware of for packet pickup and on race day.
PACKET PICKUP
Saturday, November 21st from 10:00am to 4:00pm at
Braman Motorcars (BMW), 2901 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, (561) 465-8299
Tuesday, November 24th from noon to 6:30pm at
Run and Roll, 330 Clematis Street, West Palm Beach, (561) 650-1200,
Wednesday, November 25th at Good Shepherd Church from noon to 6:30PM, 402 Seabrook Rd, Tequesta
Race Day packet pick up begins at 6AM at race site.
RACE START TIMES
Kid’s 100 Yard Dash: 7:15AM (wave start according to age)
Wheel Chair Division: 8:00AM
4 Mile Race: 8:07AM
PARKING
Parking will be difficult so please allow your-self extra time prior to the start of the race. It may take 15 minutes or more from your parking spot to the race start. Please prepare accordingly.
COURSE
The 4-mile course is marked with numerous arrow turn signs.
WATER STOPS
There will be two water stops on the course; at mile 1.5 and at mile 3.
PORT-A-LETS
Two locations at the race site; one group on Seabrook and the other on Dover close to the start line. In addition there will be a Port-A-Let at mile1.5 and at mile 3.75.
PIES TICKETS
Tickets will be handed out to the first 1,500 finishers. You must have a ticket to get a pie.
FINISH TIMES
AccuChip Race Timing Services is doing the timing for the race. Finish times will be posted at the gazebo. The times will be posted online approximately 4 hours after the finish of the race at www.accuchiptiming.com
FINISHER CERTIFICATE
ALl finishers may print out a custom finisher’s certificate available after the race at www.accuchiptiming.com
AWARDS
Awards will be presented to the Overall Male/Female, Master Male/Female and Grandmaster Male/Female winners. In addition there are age group awards, male & female, 3 deep.: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64,
65-69, 70-74 & 75-79. Awards will be presented at the
gazebo. If you are a winner and must leave early send us an e-mail and we will tell you where the award can be picked up. If you are from out of town we will mail it to you.
SHIRTS
Shirts guaranteed to the first 1,800 registrations. We will make every attempt to make sure you
receive the size you requested. There will be no exchanges at packet pickup.
FINISHER MEDALS
For the 4th year in a row every finisher wearing a bib will receive a medal.
VOLUNTEERS
We want to thank everyone who volunteered for the race especially the Jupiter High School Key Club. Jo Wood and the fine people from Good Shepherd Church who manned the water stops. Greg Corbitt, Tequesta Parks and Recreation, Dave & Laura Wrightson who prepared all the food and distributed the pies, and the Tequesta Police Department. Last but not least our Emcee Brian Edwards.

Most important let us not forget the meaning of the holiday. Even though we are in a very well-to-do area of the county there still is a lot of hunger.

PHOTO CONTEST
Submit your best pictures from Run 4 the Pies for a chance to win race entries to the Shamrock Run 5K/10 Miler and gift cards to local vendors/running stores.

Deadline: Sunday November 29th.
Winners will be announced by December 10th.
Photo Eligibility
All photos must have been taken at Run 4 the Pies 2016 in Tequesta on Thanksgiving Day.
Photographer/Copyright
Entries must be submitted by the original photographer. Do not submit a photo taken by someone other than you. You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted.
Number of Entries
An individual may submit five photos.
Photo Subject Restrictions
Photos must be appropriate for posting on a public website. Obscene, provocative or otherwise questionable content will not be considered. The Palm Beach Roadrunners retains sole discretion as to what constitutes inappropriate content.
Ownership/Use Rights
By entering the contest, photographers agree to have their submitted photograph (including non-winning entries) published on Palm Beach Roadrunners website, Facebook page, other social media outlets, promotional material such as flyers, postcards, brochures, ads and press releases without any fee or other form of compensation. Photos may be credited to the photographer.
