Today your running club presented the first ever College Scholarship check to Forest Hill High School’s Luca Orasi. Luca is the Captain of the Track & Field and Cross Country teams. He is attending the University of South Florida starting in the Fall Semester.

About Luca…
Luca joined the cross country and track teams as a young inexperienced 9th grade runner and grew into a phenomenal student-athlete by his senior year. During his freshman year Luca ran a 31 minute 5k, 6:21 in the 1600m and 14:16 in the 3200m. By 12th grade Luca had run a sub 20 minute 5k, 5:18 in the 1600m and 11:19 in the 3200m. He also became an important leader and captain for both the Cross Country and Track programs at Forest Hill. He achieved all this athletic success while being an exceptional student in the classroom and maintaining a weighted cumulative GPA of 4.8197. Additionally, Luca has dedicated 93 hours to volunteering for his community and he currently works as a host at the Sailfish Marina. He plans to attend USF in the fall and is happy and eager to start his first year as a USF BULL!

Congratulations and good running ahead Luca!
