PBRR Hosts National Run Coaching Course

PBRR Welcomes New Coaches to Our Area for Training

March 3rd and 4th saw the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) conduct a Level I coaching seminar at nearby Palm Beach Atlantic University in downtown West Palm Beach.

The course is designed to teach elements and methods of successful run coaching. It is followed up by a certification exam along with CPR and first aid training, Once all components are completed, each candidate becomes a Certified Running Coach.

Coaching candidates came from many cities in Florida, New England, San Francisco, Honduras and even an elite athlete from Kenya, now living in Alabama. Locally, we had 5 Palm Beach Roadrunners in attendance – Sherry Hobson, Maureen Flynn, Maribel Bleeker, Todd Clements, and Dave Masterson. Many thanks were directed towards PBRR for hosting such a valuable course in our beautiful facilities and area. Good luck to all of our new coaches, we will see you out there on the track, the trails, and on the roads!

Thursday Coached Track Time Change

The track workouts at Benjamin High School are now going to start at 6:00 am effective January 25th. A new security plan has changed the open and close hours and personnel schedules. We will see you there Thursday morning!
